Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Coach Bryan Hughes is a product of Philadelphia’s parks and recreational programs. His 30+ years of teaching includes 6 NJCAA National Tittles coaching with Tyler Junior College, including 6 individual Rolex National Champions. He has directed community and country club programs in Florida and Texas and started Jedi Tennis LLC, here in Philadelphia, in 2008, as well as The South Philadelphia Tennis Association in 2010. Certified Premier Provider for the USTA as well as Middle States Committee Member.
Teaching Style
Technique and timing are the keys to competitive play, proper technique matched with situation repetition promote the highest percentages of success under competitive pressure. Social players should establish strokes reliable enough to enjoy the level of which they chose to participate. No matter what a students goals are, teach them as an individual and be sure to promote a fun atmosphere.

I played tennis when I was younger, but hadn't played in about 15 years. I was nervous getting back into it, but Bryan made it easy. He was patient with me but pushed me at the same time. I really couldn't have asked for a better coach to get me back into the game. Thanks!
