About Me
Hi, My name is Brian. I have been playing tennis for over 10 years now and I’ve always had a very strong passion towards this sport. I played singles 1 throughout my 4 years in high school and I have over 5 years of coaching experience ranging from beginners to intermediate levels. (Mission Hills tennis Club) I love to communicate with people of all ages, along with helping people further understand the fundamentals of tennis. Furthermore, I am very patient and determined to help people grow as an athlete. My main goal as a coach is to build an environment where my students can feel comfortable and be able to openly express themselves as an athlete
Teaching Style
I notice flaws whenever I watch students play tennis and I always try to give constructive criticism to help students understand what they are doing wrong. I also like to ask students what they think they need to fix, as I believe students need to learn to also see for themselves how they can better improve on there fundamentals and skills. Furthermore, I try to keep my lessons engaging, fun, but also provide a lot of drills. The structure of my lessons begin with simple footwork drills to help students warm up, next I go straight into a half court rally to help students maintain consistency before either playing a game or doing drills. Lastly I usually compile drills depending on the level of skill of the person I am coaching.

Brian provided very productive and fun one hour lessons catered towards my needs and goals for tennis! We worked on different drills every lesson that helped improved my tennis in every aspect including forehand, backhand, serves, rallying, volley, coordination, footwork, and endurance. He is super friendly and will work with you to improve whatever you want to work on! I highly recommend taking lessons with Brian!
