About Me
Hi, my name is Art. I've been playing tennis since the late 60's played most of my singles and doubles tournaments in the 70's. I'm from Southern California and played most of my tennis in the Los Angeles area. I taught private and group lessons at Mt San Antonio College for five years then I moved to St Louis in 2010 and since been teaching lessons at St Charles Park and Recreations also been teaching at Lafayette High School at their summer clinic, I will be coaching at CBC (Christian Brothers High School in 2017. I also teach private and group lessons in the Wildhorse community. Myself and one other pro plan to hold tennis clinics in June for all who are interested. My daughter who is 12 is 3rd ranked in St Louis and has trained with Nick Bollettieri, Rick Macci's and Harold Solomon's tennis academy in Florida.
Teaching Style
My style is in line with Harold Solomon's method teaching both private and group lessons. Videos are used to analyze strokes techniques. I utilize Coach's eye and Tennis Swing Analyzer software for a side to side comparison in stroke techniques. Most important is learning the fundamentals of strokes and footwork. I teach the David Bailey footwork, which is basic footwork for the beginners and advanced footwork for the more experienced .

Latest Reviews
Art was able to quickly diagnose that my swing was flat and he made a few adjustment to help me get more topspin, power and control.
Excellent diagnosis upon a first meeting and the net result is I went out and won a Men’s 45s 4USTA tournament. I can highly recommend Art and his teaching ability.
Art is a kind, knowledgeable and patient teacher to a rusty student such as myself. I have improved with my forehand and backhand after 3 lessons. :)
