About Me
PTR LEVEL II CERTIFIED TENNIS TEACHING PROFESSIONAL and CERTIFIED iTPA TENNIS PERFORMANCE TRAINER. I have been teaching tennis for quite a few years now while also an academic tutor and feel both have helped feed each other. I really love working with all ages, especially anyone new to tennis. I started playing tennis after having played football for 10 years and instantly fell in love with the sport and trained super intense, and was able to obtain a USTA Sectional Boys 18 Ranking and Top 30 Regional Ranking in New Jersey and was recruited and played NCAA Division III Varsity Tennis under Coach Sean Sloane, where I also played on the Squash Varsity, which was amazing for my volley skills in tennis. I was taught tennis primarily by the great John Shaw, and look to impart his tennis techniques and philosophies to my students, as the many lessons learned in tennis translate to life outside the sport and the benefits are exponential. I also trained in drill groups under Jeff Miller (US Davis Cup Team Alumni) and John Costanza at little Silver Tennis Club.
Teaching Style
I am a very engaging, patient, and dynamic teacher and person. I started teaching tennis shortly after college, and spent the last few years as a teacher/tutor (SAT and Academics) and believe that experience has led me to become even better with teaching tennis. I create a space where I want my students/clients to take risks and go for it, but also give them actionable steps to learn more technique, but in an organic and comfortable way. I always want a student to walk away feeling more empowered and also just have FUN and feel like they got in a great workout too! I truly love tennis, and love to help shape another player who in turn finds the same love for this amazing sport. I think the benefits of tennis are not just physical, but lead to mental fortitude outside of the court. I look forward to helping and working with you!

Anthony is great - re-teaching me what I learned years ago and un-teaching me bad habits I’ve picked up… and quite a bit more. Responds to feedback about how I learn and relates skills to other sports I play. Definitely recommend.
I had some limited experience playing tennis as a kid, but hadn't played in years and was super rusty. Anthony was able to break down the fundamentals of groundstrokes to me and really keeps things simple yet effective and achievable. He takes the guessing out of how strokes work and I now hit with intention and my footwork and court awareness have improved as well. I now find myself playing super consistent and with control and I finally have a backhand I feel confident in. Anthony always makes sure that we practice the way it would be in a real match and we do lots of rallying which has been a great exercise for me as well as playing out points. He's very patient as a teacher and you can see he really loves the sport. Highly recommend.
Kids loved Anthony and had a great time!
Anthony took me from barely knowing the sport and just trying to get the ball back over the net, to putting topspin on my shots as well as teaching me the proper grips for groundstrokes and volleys. I see the sport completely different and now feel I have a basic "tennis IQ" and am able to start hitting the ball back with strategy. I feel much more confident in my tennis and found a new sport that I love. Anthony takes what is a very complicated sport and brakes down every part to digest-able bits. Aside from teaching me great technique with my strokes, he has taught me amazing footwork, which has led to big jumps each lesson.
