About Me

My name is Allen, and I am a recent law school graduated that has just moved to the North Seattle area from the midwest. I was born and raised in Florida and started competing in USTA tournaments around age seven. From the 10s to the 18s, I was consistently ranked in the top 50 in the state, and played one singles and doubles all four years in high-school. While I had multiple coaches growing up, my dad was my primary coach, and I learned much from him both in terms of my own game and also how to coach others (he was/is a full time coach, doing everything from division I college coaching to being a head-pro at numerous clubs after his collegiate career at Wake Forest).

I graduated from high school in 2015 as a three star recruit and went on to play four years of college tennis up in Michigan at Kalamazoo College. I was a four starter in both singles and doubles, achieving numerous academic and athletic honors during my time as a hornet. I graduated from Kalamazoo College in 2019 with majors in business and political science, and went on to law school at the University of Detroit - Mercy. It was an honor playing four years under Coach Mark Riley at Kalamazoo College, and the team consistently finished top 25 in the nation with multiple deep runs in the NCAA tournament.

Teaching Style

For an experience player, I would start with a typical dynamic warmup, progressing through basic live ball patterns (cross-courts, figure-eight, etc.). Then, depending on player needs, we can progress into point play/strategy, technical work, high-intense drills, etc.

For beginners, we will start with basic form/fundamentals, mainly utilizing hand-feeds while keeping things fun and engaging.
