About Me
Hello, my name is Allen and I am a local Milwaukee tennis coach with over 40 years of playing experience and over 10 years of teaching experience! After I retired as a Senior Graphic Designer in 2009, I turned my attention to another lifelong passion, tennis! Since then, I have earned three gold as well as five silver medals in tennis while participating in the Senior Olympics. I have also been a boys and girls tennis coach at Brookfield Central High School since 2013 and served as the head tennis coach for Mount Mary University located in Milwaukee (NCAA Division 3) back in 2016. I am currently employed as a tennis instructor for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Teaching Style
I offer fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, and group tennis lessons for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). I tailor lessons to each individual’s needs and skill level. I offer instructions on mechanics and send videos to my students so they can compare their techniques to online professionals. So, whether you need to work on specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy, or doubles strategy would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

I would highly recommend Allen. My daughter had played a little tennis but had never taken formal lessons and wanted to improve. She started showing notable progress after the very first lesson. He walked her through the different parts of the game and provided valuable resources that she could use on her own. He struck a great balance between helping my daughter to improve and encouraging her to love the sport. She always enjoyed working with him and looked forward to each lesson. I started working with Allen Neuwirth last Fall as a new tennis player. Allen was able to quickly assess my current abilities and recommend adjustments to improve my ground strokes, net play, and serves. I am now able to hold my own within 3.0 matches.
