About Me
Hello, I'm Afruica Gentle from Georgetown, Guyana. I've been playing tennis for 19 years and coaching for 3 years. I played tennis at Bowie State University, where I was named the CIAA Women's Player of the Year in 2022 and made the All-Team CIAA in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Teaching Style
My teaching tennis style focuses on a blend of technical precision, strategic thinking, and mental resilience. I specialize in enhancing players' technical skills, such as strokes and footwork, and emphasize the importance of game strategy and on-court awareness. My lessons are structured to include a mix of drills for skill improvement, match simulations to practice strategies, and mental conditioning exercises to build confidence and focus. Additionally, I prioritize fostering a love for the game while making it fun and promoting sportsmanship in every session.
