About Me
I am a energetic tennis coach who has been coaching for 17 years. I am USPTA certified professional. I was director of tennis for a private indoor tennis club for six years and recently opened the LuAnn Alexander Tennis Academy in Edinburg, Tx. We have been in operation for a year and a half already. I have coached from kids as young as three years old to seniors as old as 80. I have coached Challenger, Champ and Super Champs players as well as a students who have gone on to play Division I, II and III college tennis.
Teaching Style
I like to emphasize for beginners technique and lots of repetition. I focus on agility, balance, and coordination. those three areas are essential before even getting to hit a ball. With more seasoned players I like to emphasize strategy and shot selection and placement. Knowing what you are going to do in advance and having a game plan.
