Before you or your child commit to anything, it’s always good to know how much it will coast. When it comes to tennis lessons it’s no different. With the use of public tennis courts, conventional athletic wear, and minimal gear, tennis is not a sport that breaks the bank. When it comes to private tennis lessons however, a decent financial commitment is required to get the most out of your time on the court.    

 

Private Tennis Lessons

 

Private tennis lesson prices vary greatly depending on not only your own skill level, but also that of the coach. Are you a complete beginner looking for a coach who can ease you into the game? There is a coach at a lower price point. Do you have a child who is trying to become a serious tennis player? We have experienced coaches who will cost more per hour. It is important to know how much

The average price differs greatly from city to city. There is usually a direct correlation between the average cost of living in the city you live in and the cost of tennis lessons. Tennis coaches price their lessons at a rate that allows them to live in (City) while also not pricing themselves outside of locals budgets. 

 

Are There Additional Fees?

 

In most cases, the tennis lesson you pay for will cover all of the costs. Unless a coach specifies additional costs, all the costs are baked into the amount you are paying per hour for your lessons. If you are looking to take tennis lessons at an indoor facility or a private club, then there is a good chance there is an additional fee so be sure to check the preferred court location of your coach. Public courts either usually do not have fees or ones low enough where your coach has taken them into consideration. 

 

If there is a coach you think would be the perfect fit but think they may be too far away, it is always worth asking that coach if they would travel for lessons. An additional fee of $10-$15 would be typical.

 

How to Save on Tennis Lessons

 

Again, we understand better than anyone that private tennis lessons are a financial commitment, and we don’t take that lightly. Besides promotions we run at MyTennisLessons, if you book more tennis lessons up front, the less they will be per hour. For example, below are the prices of two different packages for one of our tennis coach in Las Vegas: 

 

6 Lesson Package: $83/hr and $498 total

20 Lesson Package: $76/hr and $1,2520 total

 

$83 - $76 = $7

$7 x 20 Lessons = $140 in savings 

 

Obviously the 20 lesson package costs more up front but if you know you will be taking lessons over an extended period of time, buying more up front saves a lot of money. 

 

Alos, if you have a friend or family member of similar skill level who wants to take lessons as well, you can always sign up for semi-private tennis lessons which cost $10 more per hour for an additional person. This will drastically lower the amount per hour that you and your friend will pay per hour 

 

$76 + $10 = $86/hr

$86/2 = $43 per person
