Teaching Style

The structure and contents of every lesson will depend on each player's goals as well as current ability. Traits and Skills that I emphasize are proper fundamentals (very important that you learn proper technique so that your strokes will be reliable, free of bad habits that will hinder constant improvement, and the ability to gain limitless potential), High Tennis IQ (strategy, good decision making, and an understanding of what separates advanced players from amateur players) footwork & conditioning (fitness and exceptional court coverage are absolutely vital if you desire to reach a high level of play) and of course emotional stability (tennis is a very mental game and VERY often mental strength will be the factor between who wins and who loses a match between two similarly skilled players.)

My lessons will always begin with several fitness exercises moving into a light short court warm up then moving into a relaxed full court warm up. Depending on your skill level, individual strengths & weaknesses, & goals I will personalize specific drills that will improve every aspect of your game. Every lesson and drill will offer you practice and experience for every stroke (forehands, backhands, serve, volleys & overheads) as you gain more skill and move towards a more advanced level I will play points out with you myself.
