About Me
Hi, my name is Vinicius. I am a former player for the BYU Men's Tennis team. At BYU, I played for the tennis team for three years and I earned my degree in Finance. Prior to that, I competed in the ITF juniors circuit where I was ranked 374 in the world at the age of 16, I played a couple of professional tournaments, won high school states championship the two years I played, and was undefeated throughout my entire high school tennis career. I have traveled to compete in 20+ different countries, and I am fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. I have been actively coaching mainly high schoolers for the past 2 years, but I also have experience coaching kids, adults, and seniors.
Teaching Style
My lessons can be very well rounded, but I listen to your goals and provide my opinion before structuring our practice. I mainly focus on consistency and footwork, but I always make sure you're hitting with the right technique. Tennis is a lonely sport and I am a strong believer in self-awareness on the court, so I will always be asking you about your opinion on why you miss or made a nice shot. I am still fit and actively playing tennis, so I guarantee I will be the best hitting partner you've ever had - we can always do a little challenge in the end of our practices to test your new improvements against me.
