Hi there, I am a native New Yorker, born and raised on the Upper East Side. I've been playing tennis, or at least taking rigorous lessons since I was three years old. I trained straight through high school and was on the varsity team in 9th grade. Although I opted not to go pro or at least give it a go, it is still a sport I love and love to teach to those who want to learn.

I like to have a good understanding of the students I take on and gague where they need help. This can take a couple of lessons to understand sometimes just a conversation at the beginning, depends on how acquainted with the game the students are and how well they understand where they stand. I like to gague the level of students by putting them through basic exercises, practicing forehands and back hands for 10 minutes each, 10 minutes with serves, 15 minutes at the net and 15 from the base line. This is flexible but with this I can gain a good perspective of what I'm dealing with, I will then point it out and give my assessment and suggest working on certain elements of their game and leave the decision up to the student on how they would like to proceed. From there, exercises relative to the areas in question will be implemented for the majority of the future lessons leaving 20 minutes to keep up other elements of their game. This will continue until they have gained the confidence in said areas and we can move on to more advanced classes.
