About Me
Hi, my name is Tyler. I am a tennis pro living in Tuscaloosa, originally from Rochester, MN. I played college tennis for St. John’s University and have taught at various tennis and country clubs in Georgia, Ohio, Minnesota, and Alabama. In Minnesota I was a head girl’s high school coach for John Marshall High School and currently am an assistant coach for the University of Alabama Wheelchair Tennis Team. I am also a teaching pro at Tuscaloosa Racquet Club.
Teaching Style
In my lessons students should expect to learn various strategies and techniques, get a good work out, and have fun. I have experience with all ages and abilities and have the proper equipment and training to help true beginners all the way to high performance players. Lessons feature some “dead ball” drills where students are fed balls in order to work on technique but primarily transition to “live ball” drills focusing more on rallying and point play. Hope to see you on the court!
