About Me
I have played competitive tennis for 15+ years and I am a recent 2023 college graduate from Colorado Mesa University. I played all 4 years at Mesa and play #1 singles and #1 doubles with my time there. I have 10+ years experience of coaching tennis at all skill levels including: Juniors, adults, as well as paid hits. I Like to give my students a baseline understanding of where there game is at, and build a game-plan to strengthen their weaknesses and strengthen their strengths. I believe that tennis is a long process and I understand how hard it is, so I hope that my students are willing to work as hard as I am!
Teaching Style
I am a very hands on teacher, and like set examples and milestones for my students. I write down everything that we worked on that day and give to them at the end of practice to help them remember what we've been working on. I like to structure my lessons with a quick warmup (few laps around the court, ladders etc.) and then 1-1 drills and basket feeding to start. Then go into more point play when we get more into the lesson. I believe that getting a feel for what matches are like is a very important factor of practice, so I like to emphasize the importance of free-ball play.
