Hi, my name is Tyler. I grew up playing tennis at the age of 6. I have always been a strong player in singles and was fortunate enough to carry this out in youth UTR match play, high school, and collegiate level at the University of North Central College in Chicago. After graduation I was inspired to carry out a career in coaching so I could pass on the knowledge and skills that were taught to me by my family at coaches throughout the years. I was fortunate enough to work at a variety of tennis clubs in the Chicago land area such as Wheaton and Midtown where I got to learn from other tennis pros and foster new teaching styles for all skills levels and age groups. I look forward to covering singles strategy at high school level and beginner adult tennis to keeping the ball in play more efficiently. I wish to pass on my teaching strategies at the early stages of tennis as it much easier to develop the right techniques from the beginning so a player won’t have to change throughout their career. Lastly, I look forward to meeting new players with the desire to learn tennis and most importantly to have a fun time doing so. A lesson with me is a guaranteed fun time with new knowledge of the game and better understanding of what player you want to become.

Placement over power has only been a strength of mine. We begin every lesson with a warmup routine to get the students blood pressure going and carry out the skill for that particular day. Always end with a fun game that ties in what was learned from that day.
