About Me

Hi! My name is Tobi and I am a local San Diego tennis coach with over 17 years of playing experience and over 14 years of teaching experience. I am also a local PTR Certified Tennis Professional. I am originally from England and I started playing tennis when I was 13 years old. My favorite player is Rafael Nadal, I always loved his never-say-die attitude and relentless work ethic. I have almost 20 years of combined playing and coaching experience across 2 countries with the Professional Tennis Registry. My main strengths playing are my serve and forehand. My main strengths coaching is analytical and technical instruction and making tennis lessons fun and engaging!

Teaching Style

I structure my lessons by starting with a warm up, then running drills, then finishing with a game/points. My specialty is teaching high quality technique and in-game strategy. I love tennis as it's a lifelong sport so I emphasize having fun, and having the correct technique that doesn't cause injury or strain on the body.
