About Me

Hey my name is Tara Dakic, I am 22 years old. I was born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia . I am a D1 player, playing for Wagner College Tennis team. I have been playing tennis for 14 years at the Novak Djokovic Academy where I also worked as a coach. Working at the Novak Djokovic Academy I had a chance to teach both private and group lessons (up to 14), and was a hitting partner for girls and boys between 12 and 18 years old. I aslo had an opportunity to work as an assistant coach and a hitting partner at SetNet Tennis Club.
Additionally, I worked in a Montclair Country Club as a summer pro for all ages.
I had many accomplishments in my tennis career, winning several national tournaments and was ranked as number 1 for 4 consecutive years.
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced).

Teaching Style

I emphasize fun and enjoyment of the game first and foremost. I enjoy teaching players of all ages, from small children to beginners to advanced players. To get the most out of a player's game, I go through the most relevant, efficient, and precise stroke technique. I use mobility drills to develop a strong basis for the players' tennis fitness levels, as well as cardio drills if a client wants a more intense training. If a player wants to enhance their point play in singles or doubles, I also include strategy. I enjoy using games with children to keep their attention and engagement high while yet including a main idea or emphasis for the session. Depending on the client's ability and age, I prefer to employ a combination of feeding, rallying, and real ball drills. Based on the client's level of play, ultimate aim, and my judgment of what would best fit them and their tennis game, each element will be carefully adapted to the client's wishes and needs
