About Me

Hi, my name is Sonya. I’ve been playing tennis since I was 3 years old. I played varsity tennis all 4 years of high school, competed as a junior, and played in college. I have consistently taught tennis since I was 16 years old. My passion is to grow the next generation of tennis players and to pass on my love of the sport.

Teaching Style

Teaching Specialties include technique, footwork, match analysis. I customize the focus of the lesson to suit your needs and goals!

Emphasis is on proper technique and injury prevention for players of all ages. Tennis is a lifelong sport and my goal is to ensure that my players are equipped with the tools and technique to play now and in the future, regardless of age.

Lesson Structure: First lesson is used to assess the current strengths and weaknesses of the player, with focus on forehand, backhand, and serve. We will create a lesson plan custom to the identified areas of improvement and align that to your goals.
