About Me

Looking to train with a coach who’s helped guide college teams to championship success? I’m Shane Holbein, a college tennis coach at Penn State Harrisburg, where I’ve played a key role in building championship tennis programs.

Over the past two seasons, I’ve helped lead both the men’s and women’s teams to four NCAA Tournament appearances and four conference championships:

My coaching style is results-driven and player-focused, built around intentional practice design, high-performance training, and match preparation. Whether you're new to tennis or a competitive athlete aiming to level up, I create customized sessions to fit your needs, boost your confidence, and elevate your game.

Before coaching at the college level, I coached the boys’ and girls’ teams at Red Land High School. As a former varsity player at Manheim Township High School and an active member of the USTA Central Pennsylvania tennis community, I bring a lifelong passion and deep understanding of the sport. I currently serve on the USTA Central PA District Council and the Racquets Committee at Bent Creek Country Club, where I help promote youth tennis.
