About Me
Hello everyone,
I have been a tennis player since I was 7. I grew up and played in Mexico until I was 16, then I went to Europe and played in the Dutch league along with some Future tournaments. I had always wanted to get a scholarship to play tennis at a US university so that is what I did when I was 18. I chose to play at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (NCAA DII) and had a great time and results. We were top 5 during the four years that I was there and I achieved great results specially at doubles becoming the number 1 in the nation during my last year. Following graduation, I played interclubs in Germany and some semi-pro tournaments.
I have been coaching other people throughout my tennis career. Mostly private lessons, but I have also taught at Kozlov Tennis Academy (Miami), Raquette Lake Camps (New York), USTA Center in Daytona Beach.
More information about my professional experience can be found on google.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is to focus on a "easy" tennis. Technique should be fluid with clean impacts on the ball and lots of movement on your legs.
Sessions would usually be:
1. Try to come warmed up so we don't waste time on that.
2. Depending on your level, we will work on technique from the baseline.
3. You can expect some harder drills that involve movement around the court and hitting targets.
4. Work on serve, volleys, slices, or any other ball that you might be struggling with (ie. high balls, short balls, second serves)
