About Me

Hi, my name is Philip. I have taught tennis in Palm Beach county on and off for 9 years. I have taught at the Seaview tennis center, PGA National and the Mar-a-lago country club as well as on my own. I teach "modern" tennis, have been USPTA certified and made a documentary film in 2005 about the rise of Russian women's tennis, which aired worldwide. I grew up playing with traditional strokes and using a wooden racquet. In my thirties I became interested in the modern game and fundamentally altered the way I played. I have won the Town of Palm Beach Men's Tournament and numerous Pro-Am events.

Teaching Style

I emphasize hitting with topspin and developing a feel for the ball on the strings as the surest path to being able to hit with power and control.
