Otis C.

I am Coach Otis and I have over 25+ years coaching experience, of all ages and all abilities. I am currently the head coach for men's and women's tennis at Webber International University. I just moved here from Elkins, WV, where I was the head coach for the last 8 years for men's and women's tennis at NCAA Division II Davis and Elkins College. In those 8 years we won 7 conference championships (4 Men and 3 Women), and I had a number of All-Conference and all- academic players play for me.

I also help coach a number of high school players to be able to play at the collegiate level and also coached multiple state high school qualifiers and a boys state finalist and girls state champion of West Virginia. I have had numerous players I have coached both juniors and adults who have acquired a USTA West Virginia State and Mid-Atlantic ranking over the years that I was there.

I continue to play competitively in USTA tennis tournaments and have held a rankings as high as #10 in open singles, #1 in 35's singles and #34 in national 35's and #1 doubles in the last 3 years.

I hold 4 professional certifications from the PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) in adult, juniors, 10 and under and performance areas of teaching. I model how I teach and structure a lesson bases on those certifications and my experiences as player and collegiate coach. I don't just stand at the net and feed you balls, I believe in live ball hitting because that is how tennis is played.
