About Me

Hi, my name is Mike. I have been teaching tennis since 2005 but it became a full time experience in 2009. It all started in Florida when I lived there for 21 years. We consider Florida to be the mecca of tennis due to the abundance of skilled players and the ability to play year round. I have played in numerous tournaments and events. In Florida, I specialized teaching Junior Tennis and Women's leagues. I had my own academy prior to moving to Maryland. It was quite successful and I still have students that still attend my classes even after graduating from college.

Teaching Style

I specialize in serves and volleys. I structure my lessons with a stretching session, followed by short warm up and then we get into the technical side of ground strokes. I allow plenty of time for volleys and serves and I adjust all follow up lessons to work on specific areas for improvement
