About Me
When I coach kids, I place a strong emphasis on building the right technique and fundamentals before progressing into rallying. I believe that creating a solid foundation early on is essential for long-term success and confidence on the court.
This means I focus on proper grip, footwork, body positioning, and stroke mechanics from the very beginning. I take the time to break each skill down into simple, manageable steps so players can truly understand what they’re doing and why it matters. By reinforcing these fundamentals early, it helps prevent bad habits from forming and makes future development much smoother.
Once a player shows consistency and understanding of these core techniques, I then begin to introduce rallying. At that point, they’re better equipped to control the ball, maintain form under pressure, and actually enjoy the process because they feel more successful.
My goal is to not just get kids hitting the ball back and forth quickly, but to help them develop strong, confident, and technically sound habits that will benefit them as they continue to grow in the sport.
