About Me
Hi, I’m Matt Richter. I’ve been playing tennis for over 20 years. I played college tennis at Brevard college for a year and a half two years. Open coaching for about 14 years my lessons are always fun, engaging and full of lots of strategy and fundamentals taken to the max. The energy that I bring to the court and fun that I have with the game spills over onto my students anytime I get out there. I would love to spread my passion and love for the game with you guys and hope to see you out there!
Teaching Style
I like to structure my tennis lessons starting off in a very slow pace and then slowly ramp it up as lessons go on and then finally once we reach the end of the lesson start closing down maybe with like match play or some strategy base play to put I was teaching into fruition. An example of this lesson would be something like start off by teaching servers and trying to hit spots on the court, and as we go through some of the drills and some of the strategies into it, I would apply how you would serve into effective spots based on what service hit and what the responses of the other player could be. This combines both aspects of beginner play and advanced play, and as we’re winding down last night, start getting into trying to develop those strategies into more pinpointed precision and being able to hit the shots where they need to go.
