About Me
Hello! My name is Madhuri and I have been playing tennis for about 17 years now! My love for tennis started when I was 14 and I hope to share the lifelong joy and happiness tennis brought me with all of my students. I started playing tennis seriously in high school, and during this time I received 3 Varsity letters and competed in the State Olympic Division Conferences twice. I have experience as both a singles and doubles player and with teaching people of all ages various skills and strategies to apply towards tennis. I have a clear understanding of the game and enjoy explaining all the technicalities to my students. I also have experience with teaching children in general, serving as a math teacher for over 12 years. As the weather gets warmer I hope to meet some awesome students and get them started on the journey of tennis!
Teaching Style
Tennis is a mental sport. My approach focuses on making sure students understand this concept all while learning how to combine critical footwork, and racquet techniques to play their best game. I have a great understanding of the game due to my own past experience, and I use these strengthening and conditioning exercises with all of my students to advance their play. Tennis is a lifelong sport and I really focus on creating that understanding for all of my students.
