About Me
Through ages 6-18, I played competitive tennis tournaments around Australia and international of the ITF tour. At 16, I began my coaching journey. I coached 3 years at Melbourne Park, home of the Australian Open prior and during my tennis scholarships in the USA. I completed in Juco, division 2 and Division 1 tennis. I am accredited with a Club Development Level 1 and Club Professional Level 2 Tennis Australia Qualification.
I was the Head Tennis Professional at Clayview Country Club for 3 years, Director of Tennis at Northland Racquet Club and assistant college tennis coach at East Central University in Oklahoma and also tennis pro at Midtown Athletic Club (now Genesis) and a few clubs in Australia.
My coaching experience has included private and group instruction to younger children, beginner middle and high school players, advanced high school and collegiate athletes and adult beginner and advanced.
Teaching Style
Every lesson is different. I cater specifically to the individual or group needs and requests. Initially we will chat over what we are looking to accomplish through the lessons. This could be developing the basics, through to getting a college tennis scholarship. Emphasis on grip, swing path etc are important, though without the proper footwork, ball recognition and strategy, the technique may not be able to be replicated.
