About Me
Hi, I’m Khat Tuchscherer—former Yale Tennis Captain and #1 Singles Player. I’ve been playing competitively for over a decade and have spent the past 9 years teaching players of all ages and skill levels. My coaching experience includes working under the head varsity men’s coaches from Princeton, Amherst, and UC Berkeley, where I developed a deep understanding of both technique and strategy.
I specialize in building complete players—whether you're learning the basics, refining your serve, or preparing for tournament play. As a current hitting partner for top-level athletes, I bring high energy, focus, and personalized attention to every lesson. My goal is to make you a smarter, stronger, and more confident player on and off the court.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is high-energy, focused, and tailored to each player’s goals. I emphasize footwork, shot selection, and point construction, with a strong foundation in doubles strategy—I was a top doubles player myself, coached by former world #5 doubles player Glenn Michibata. Lessons are structured with a clear progression: technical drills, situational play, and live hitting to reinforce habits and build match confidence. Whether you're training competitively or just looking to level up, I create a challenging but supportive environment that pushes players to improve every session.
