Kevin A.

Kevin has been actively involved in tennis since the 1980s. While in high school he played competitive junior tournaments around Florida, played on the high school tennis team, and provided private individual lessons. While stationed at Langley AFB in Virginia, he taught private tennis lessons through a State of Virginia youth tennis initiative. Throughout his Air Force career, he continued to stay active in tennis, playing in singles and doubles tournaments at Air Force bases in California, Texas, Alabama, Virginia, and Florida. Additionally, he was the Assistant Tennis Coach at Lebanon High School from 2016 to 2019. In this capacity, he provided primary advanced lessons and hitting practice for the Boys and Girls #1-3 players. Here he focused on fitness, technique and mental toughness.

Kevin grew up in Zephyrhills, FL and picked up the tennis racquet at 13 years old. He played three years for the Zephyrhills High School tennis team in both singles and doubles. He entered the Air Force in 1990 and retired from active duty in 2012.

Kevin and his wife Carrie reside in Zephyrhills, FL. They have three who all enjoy playing tennis.

My coaching perspective works on building confidence and character. Working on the fundamentals of footwork, racquet skills. Pushing each student based on current skill level, attitude and aptitude, to be their best. Each player is unique with differing needs, I tailor each student’s lesson to their individual needs.
