About Me
Hi, I’m Katarina, currently serving as the Head Coach at the University of Houston. Previously, I led Grand Canyon University to 2X WAC Championship title. As a former NCAA student-athlete, I competed at the highest level—finishing as NCAA National Championship Runner-Up, reaching the Elite 8, and helping my team consistently rank among the Top 8 Division I programs. I was named NCAA Championship MVP, advanced to the singles quarterfinals, and earned All-American honors, with career-high ITA rankings of No. 10 in singles and No. 17 in doubles. I also competed on the professional circuit. My experience as both a player and coach reflects a lifelong passion for the sport and a commitment to developing high-performance student-athletes.
Teaching Style
My lessons are structured on being an all-court player. To do so, I will focus on improving clients' each part of the game and combining it together. I believe that tennis is an error game and the big key to being a good tennis player is being consistent and making fewer errors than your opponent.
