About Me
Hi, this is coach JP, and I am a passionate and experienced tennis coach with a strong background as both a player and instructor. I have spent over a decade competing at the highest levels of tennis, gaining invaluable experience on the ATP Tour and as an NCAA Division 1 student-athlete. My journey in the sport has taken me around the world, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of the game and a coaching style that adapts to players of all levels. As a player, I achieved an ATP ranking of #1657 in singles and #1813 in doubles, competing against top talents in professional tournaments. I also played NCAA Division 1 tennis, where I honed my skills in a highly competitive environment while balancing academics and athletics at the highest collegiate level. I have coached 500+ students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners looking to develop strong fundamentals to high-performance athletes aiming to elevate their game.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is player-focused and adaptable. I emphasize strong fundamentals, footwork, and match-play strategy, always tailoring each session to the player’s goals and level. I structure my lessons with a warm-up, technical drills, point play, and a focus area depending on the player’s needs.
