About Me

I've always been an athlete and active person, but finding what sports worked for me made a big difference in my life. I played soccer, football and a lot of other random things as a kid but none of them worked well for me. I realized team sports just didn't come as naturally to me as individual sports like running or tennis. When I began tennis, I was hooked. I found an outlet for my athleticism that felt right and I got on the court as often as I could, often playing against a lobster ball machine or serving for hours since no one else wanted to get out as much as me. I would play for 8 hours a day in the summer and 4-6 hours a day when school was in session. I simply could not get enough tennis. I've been playing for 15 years now, coaching for 3 years with this last year being full time coaching. I love giving back to the sport of tennis and giving ambitious players the help they need.

Though originally from Arizona, I am now going to school at BYU to pursue a bachelor's in computer science. I love the mountains in Utah and the adventures they've given me.

Teaching Style

I specialize in technique and consistency. I won't let bad habits slide or build up and will help you develop lifelong strokes and technique that will prevent injury, errors, etc. Once thus has been mastered, I focus on strategy, court agility, and match play.

I believe tennis lessons need to be fun to, so every practice ends in some sort of game or competition. I want students to remember that playing tennis is fun when they go home so they can be motivated to practice.
