I like to focus on building the fundamental mechanics in the beginning. Once it is developed well enough, I try to implement movement and more live action drills. I then teach advanced footwork and then see how they develop as aspiring players. After intermediate levels I try to sharpen their game to the best I can and the style that I believe they can perform the best at as well as the style the are comfortable with.
