About Me

Hi! My name is John and I currently reside in Alameda, CA. Sharing my passion and love for tennis has always been something I found extremely rewarding. During my high school years I worked at multiple tennis clubs and have taught well over 200 private , semi-private, and group lessons. I played 4 years of varsity tennis at both the high school and college level. During my college years I played number 1 and 2 singles for the Coast Guard Academy and earned an All Conference Spot in singles my senior year. Tennis is a phenomenal lifelong sport that I wish everyone can have the opportunity to partake in at some point. I love working with people and seeing their passion grow for the sport.

Teaching Style

Each player is unique and has their respective strengths and weaknesses. I always like to set a strong foundation in the basics (forehand, backhand, serve, volleys, slice). If they already have a solid base in the basics I will typically work on point play and any individual aspects of the game I see they need to improve on.
