Hi, my name is John. Coach John is a USPTA certified professional instructor and has been a tennis player since his teenage years. He was the founder and Director of the St. Charles Parish Tennis Program including a local USTA Junior Team Tennis league for ages 6 thru 18. His experience includes teaching children starting at age 3, USTA junior tournament players, USTA Junior Tennis Teams, high school players, college recruited players, recreational players and adult players of all ages. His weekly classes include private lessons and group clinics. John has a Masters Degree from the University of South Florida and a Bachelors degree from Louisiana State University.

My priority is proper technique to ensure an injury free lifetime of tennis using USPTA methods. Instructional programs teach athletic development, basic and advanced strokes, footwork, dynamic warmup, the tennis game, rules and competition in a friendly environment using age appropriate methods. Low, moderate and high intensity workouts are included as appropriate. All programs are lead by a USPTA Certified Professional Instructor with assistance from other experienced tennis player junior coaches. Private lessons are tailored to the needs of the student. Clinics follow a pre-determined plan according to the type of clinic being offered. All students have regular evaluations. I use online video instruction extensively to reinforce on court lessons. I regularly attend student competitive matches to evaluate progress of instruction.
