About Me

I am a Canadian, born in Malawi Africa, living in the United States. I have been playing tennis since the age of 6 and it has always been my favorite sport! Tennis has always been my passion and favorite hobby. Whether I'm playing competitively, socially/casually, or teaching tennis, I always maintain a positive attitude and smiley character! I have obtained my Club Professional 1 level of tennis coaching under Tennis Canada and TPA administration. Having 10 years of coaching experience I find myself enjoying coaching more and more as the years go on. I recently moved to the United States in January 2025 to live with my wife and start the next chapter of life here. I have coached many different students of varying skill levels and ages. Whether you are a beginner adult or junior, or an advanced junior or club level player I will use relevant instructions and drills to develop your skills while maximizing the level of fun and laughter on the court.

Teaching Style

I was trained as a Tennis Coach in Canada under the Tennis Canada Tennis Professionals Association administration. I like to get to know my students personally so I can personally tailor my lessons and instructions in a way that is fun and effective in developing their skills. I emphasize the word FUN because I want my lessons to bring joy and laughter to a person as they are spending their time and money on something that they should enjoy. Nonetheless I also want to see results in a players game so I expect them to be willing to push themselves and be energetic on the court! My lesson structure usually consists of a warm up time (stretching and light hitting), a briefing of what the session's lesson is focused on, and then a demonstration of drills. After drills I like to play either a match style game or a mini-game that incorporates what was just taught in order to prove to me that there was improvement. I sometimes include a cool-down and will take frequent water breaks to ensure everyone is well hydrated!
