Hi there, my name is Jack. I'm a former College Club Tennis player at Washington University in St. Louis and top 100 player on the East Coast. I've played tennis since I was ~6 years old, and I've played with both some of the top-ranked players, and tennis pros in the U.S., for over a decade. I've also spent a few years teaching tennis to kids of all levels (primarily ages 8-15) at an elite tennis camp called Pierce Camp Birchmont (located in Wolfeboro, NH).

Currently, I am working as a Business Analyst at an accounting firm in NYC (primarily working from home, so I have availability to teach in the hours outside of my day job). I have a wife and a 9-month-old daughter at the time I'm writing this -- we live in Lake Success, within walking distance of Great Neck South High School (which has a total of 12 courts available).

Beginners: I like to focus on the basics -- keeping the ball in the court, controlling direction (cross court/ down the line), learning the basic strokes (forehand/ backhand/ volleying/ serving).

Intermediates: Heavier focus on technique, and incorporating more advanced strokes (slice backhand, inside-out forehand, approach shots, kick serve). Increased focus on proper movement (both to the ball and recovery).

Advanced: Higher intensity training (more movement & faster pace practice). Practice focuses more heavily on areas of weakness, "set-piece" drills (i.e. 4-shot rally and approach shot winner up the line), and point play.
