About Me

My name is Hakeem. I was born in Jamaica. My dad enrolled my Sister and I in a tennis camp in our neighborhood and then he took over coaching me. I've been in love with tennis ever since then. I love tennis because it reminds of the game of life, you can have a lot of coaching and hours on court but when it comes to winning the game/match it depends on how well you play the inner game, control your nerves and execute what you've been taught.
My favorite tennis players are ( In no particular order LOL) : Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Novak Djokovic , Naomi Osaka, Arthur Ashe.

Teaching Style

My teaching style focuses on movement, touch and power.
I structure my lessons by starting with warm ups, movement drills , Touch and feel drills and power Development with use of weighted medicine balls or assessing the power level of my playing and giving tips and techniques on how to be more explosive on court.
