About Me
My name is Gianna Vavalle and I have been playing tennis for the past 16 years! I started when I was 5 and started playing in USTA tournaments up until I was 14. I was a 4 year varsity tennis player, 2 year MVP, captain, all conference, and state qualifier. Due to an injury, I stopped playing competively after high school and did my first coaching job at a middle school at my old college. I ran the girls team, and in the winter I helped the high schoolers at camps. I have also given private lessons in the past as well.
Teaching Style
I am a trained doubles and singles player so I am able to do match play and teach strategy on all ends. I also would like to spend my first lesson testing and seeing what needs to be worked on first and really emphasizing serving and returning. I structure my lessons by warmups with short court, full court, and serving, then moving into drills, and then playing either a match style game or a game in general!
