Hi, I’m Gavin — a former collegiate tennis player at Marian University and a passionate coach dedicated to helping players improve their game at every level.

While competing at Marian, I had the unique opportunity to coach at the prestigious John Newcombe Tennis Academy in Texas during my college years. There, I worked with players of all ages and skill levels — from beginners to nationally ranked juniors — focusing on fundamentals, footwork, match strategy, and mental toughness. That experience deepened my understanding of the game and shaped my coaching style into one that’s patient, motivating, and results driven.

Now, in addition to my career in manufacturing leadership, I continue to share my love for tennis through private lessons and training sessions. My approach combines the discipline of competitive play, the insight from elite coaching environments, and a focus on building confidence and consistency — whether you're picking up a racquet for the first time or looking to elevate your competitive edge.

My teaching style blends structure, energy, and purpose. I specialize in stroke development, footwork, and strategic play. Each lesson is tailored to the player’s age, level, and goals — typically beginning with a focused warm-up, followed by technical drills, situational point play, and a cool-down with takeaways. I emphasize consistency, court awareness, and mental toughness, while always keeping the environment positive, encouraging, and fun.
