About Me

Hi, my name is Gabriel. I've been playing tennis from a young age, played on the tour in the seventies, been coaching for 40+ years. played on the senior tour and earned I.T.F. world ranking as high as #5 in 1989 (men's 35 & over) and had wins over highly ranked A.T.P. players. I have coached in several clubs in L.A. area and produced hundreds of high school players and dozens of collage players, including former # 1 players for Columbia university, UC Berkley. and #2 and #6 for U.C.L.A. I have also coached A.T.P. and W.T.A. players. I'm certified by P.T.R.as a professional and by the U.S.P.T.A. and a P1 professional. I develop players from grass roots level all the way to becoming accomplished tennis players.

Teaching Style

My teaching specialty is developing strong foundation, proper form through progression. Lesson structure varies depending on level. Beginners work more on basic techniques , hand eye coordination drills and fun games, the more advanced the students are the more demanding the drills are and more time is spent on strategy and game plans, footwork , agility, stamina become a bigger component of more advanced program.
