About Me
I started playing tennis at the age of 7 years old. I fell in love with the sport right away. I started playing junior tournaments around 8-9 years old. I played state, southern, and national level tournaments from 10-18 years old. I practiced hours and hours everyday not just to get better, but simply because I loved it so much. I went on to play at Erskine College, a division two school in South Carolina. I could have competed at bigger schools, but I wanted to play and be the best on a team and make a difference rather than be towards the bottom of a line up. I had a very successful college career, playing line 1 singles and doubles all four years and winning many awards such as:
- 2x Player of the Year
- 3x First Team All Conference
- Jake Todd Athletic Award for Sportsmanship
- Scholar Athlete of the Year
- I am now graduated and teaching tennis. I love working with people of all ages and levels.
Teaching Style
I take a supportive and energetic approach that balances structure with creativity. I break down skills in simple, clear steps and adapt drills to each player’s ability so everyone can succeed. I keep lessons interactive and engaging, using games and challenges to make practice fun while reinforcing fundamentals. My goal is to motivate through encouragement, patience, and positive reinforcement so they feel confident and excited to keep improving.
