About Me

Hi, my name is Edwin. I am a USPTA Certified tennis coach who started to teach tennis in 1987. I have taught tennis at every level, from beginners to professional. I have worked with students who went on to Division 1 colleges and Ivy League universities with full tennis scholarships. These players went on to excel in fields of medicine, law, and other areas. I have traveled with players to tournaments both professional and local within and outside the United States. I also enjoy working with beginners starting them young and seeing them grow into great tennis players. Presently, I am working as an independent coach, developing and setting up tennis programs for adult and juniors, beginners, intermediates and advanced players.

Teaching Style

I believe in teaching the correct simple fundamentals like good foot work, racket preparation and positioning. My years of experience have taught me that these founding principles will not only create great tennis players but will sustain their skills and minimize injuries. For those who already play tennis I start with a diagnostic evaluation of their level, their stroke and movement. I work diligently with the player to correct any errors and improve on skills while taking it to the next level. “Tennis is both an art and a science the right stroke or movement will produce the right result”.
