About Me
Hi, my name is Edward. I have played the game of tennis since the age of 6. I am now 22 years old and have recently graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in business administration. I received a full scholarship to play Division 1 tennis here and have won the Sun Belt Conference tournament and made an NCAA national appearance with our team. Other awards I have received in college are multiple conference player of the week awards, second team all conference, and sun belt commissioners list (an award for a gpa above a 3.6 during your season.)
Before my college career, I was #1 in the state of Georgia, a 4-star tennis recruiting recruit, and won the USTA Al Parker Georgia Player of the Year in 2020, a very prestigious award. Also, I received the Family of the Year award from USTA as well. I will be the graduate assistant for the tennis team while I complete my master's in business administration at Georgia state and during this time I would love to help others improve as best as possible.
Teaching Style
My teaching style focuses on building strong fundamentals, strategic thinking, and mental toughness, with an emphasis on consistency, footwork, and situational awareness; I structure my lessons with a clear progression—starting with warm-ups and drills, followed by focused technical or tactical work, and ending with point play and reflection to reinforce learning and confidence.
