About Me
I’m a former professional tennis player and Division I student-athlete with over 15 years of experience in the game. I grew up in New Zealand, where I won four national titles and represented my country at the Junior Davis Cup. In the U.S., I competed at the University of Minnesota, Rice University, and Elon University.
Since then, I’ve transitioned into coaching — working with players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to nationally ranked juniors. I’m passionate about helping athletes develop both their technique and confidence on court, and I tailor every lesson to each player’s needs and goals.
Teaching Style
A typical session with me blends high-performance drills with strategic development and physical conditioning. We begin with a dynamic warm-up, incorporating movement patterns that enhance tennis-specific agility, balance, and explosiveness. From there, sessions are tailored to the player's goals — often focusing on stroke efficiency, court positioning, and situational drills designed to reinforce point structure and decision-making under pressure.
I emphasize tactical awareness and match-play strategy — helping players understand not just how to hit the ball, but why, when, and where. We’ll break down shot selection, opponent tendencies, and mental resilience in competitive moments. I also integrate strength and power development into the session through technically sound movement drills that translate directly to on-court performance.
Whether we’re building consistency or fine-tuning advanced patterns, the goal is always the same: to develop a complete player — mentally sharp, physically strong, and tactically confident.
