About Me
Hi, my name is Doug. I've been playing tennis for over 30yrs and enjoy teaching the game. I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. I played tennis for my high school team and a little in college. I still stay active so I can keep up with more spirited students. I love watching tennis social media videos to learn about different tennis techniques and strategies. I am PTR certified (https://ptrtennis.org) to help supplement my coaching abilities.
I have two daughters (8 and 11) and have managed to keep my younger daughter interested in playing tennis even with her other activities. I think all hope is lost for my 11 year old. :( I was even able to get my wife interested in watching and playing tennis about 4yrs ago.
Teaching Style
I really enjoy teaching beginners/intermediate students to help them progress to become a better tennis player. I always try to cater how I teach to how players will best respond to instruction. Everybody learns and is motivated differently so I will work on different techniques with you to see what works the best. I also will make it fun while incorporating the teachings I pass on to my students. Looking forward to working with you!!!
