About Me

Hello, My name is Desmond and I am a tennis coach at the Racquet Club of Irvine. As a junior, I reached the top 50 in Southern California and reached a 4-star rating on tennisrecruiting, but decided to focus on academics at UC Irvine where I played on the club tennis team and captain'd for the team. I still continue to coach at the Racquet Club of Irvine where I train and hit with high-level high school kids with goals of playing Division I tennis. My goal is to help my students enjoy the game of tennis and play their best regardless of their skill level.

Teaching Style

My method of teaching is to help students discover their passion and goals for tennis. I like to create an environment in which students are not wasting their time and energy, but giving their all and pushing their limits through intensity. I teach from the basics such as the fundamentals of footwork, perfecting the forms of forehands and backhands.
