About Me
I am a Texan, and have lived all of my life here in Texas. I learned tennis when I was very young. I have played on and off throughout my life, and lately have been coaching in the junior high school and high school arenas. I have had great success with these age groups, and I really love teaching and playing tennis.
Teaching Style
There are basic physical movements that are necessary to form a foundation for learning. These are simple, yet effective, and must be learned first, and always done. I have learned to teach one step at a time, and to continue repetition until the skill is learned. I emphasize proper body movement and arm movements. I subscribe to many coaching sites and continually learn new techniques and practices so that I can teach my athletes the newest and best way. All lessons involve general hitting, specific lessons each time, and some open practice, and usually there is a "fun" part of practice that makes it a pleasant time for both of us, teacher and student.
