About Me
I was a three time conference tennis champ and have been playing for seven years. I know the sport very well and feel confident in my ability to help a player start or a intermediate player become better. After I graduated I helped coach out my schools tennis teams newcomers and did private lessons and plan to host tournaments and clincs in my hometown.
Teaching Style
You'd start with a warm up (Loosen up)-May look like stretches, a few laps around the court, mini tennis, volleying back and forth gently, rallying back and forth, etc.
Then you'd move towards focus on one main skill area a technique focus-Like just hand feeding groundstrokes, practicing a your swings and form, etc.
Then we'd drill-Footwork, groundstrokes, volleys, approach shots, shot selection, directing your shots (target practice), etc.
Then maybe practice some gameplay stuff like have you serve and play out points or play a tiebreak and go after every point go over what you did well and/or what you could've done better.
Then a cooldown-Strecthes, recap on things I saw that need work and things I saw that I thought were looking good.
