About Me
I was born in Honduras and adopted as a baby. I grew up in Arcata CA. I have been playing tennis since a very young age but got into it competitively in jr high. I played number 1 at Arcata High School all four years while I was there. I have played in USTA jr tournaments as well as non sanctioned adult singles and doubles tournaments. I love tennis and try to play as much as my school and teaching schedule will let me. I currently attend Humboldt State University where I am a year away from earning a Political Science degree. I am a USPTA certified professional. I have taught the Arcata Parks and Rec summer tennis program for the past 5 years as well as lessons throughout the year. Tennis is my passion and I intend to pursue it for the rest of my life!
Teaching Style
My teaching style is appropiate for the age and ability of my student. I like to keep my students engaged, moving, and continuing to progress in their game. I want the student to have fun and feel like they are improving their game on each lesson from hitting lots of balls and working on important parts where they need improvement.
